When you fill in the contact form, we process your name, email address, phone number and the content of your message so that we can answer your query. Legal basis: legitimate interest (handling your contact request) and, where applicable, the performance of pre-contractual steps.
On a property page you can request a viewing. In that case we process your name, phone number, email address, any remarks you add, and the property your request relates to, in order to schedule the viewing. Legal basis: performance of a contract (or pre-contractual steps towards one).
To prevent spam and abuse of our forms, we use a hidden anti-spam field and a time-slot check; these do not store personal data, but only record whether a submission is recognised as bot behaviour. Failed email delivery is logged temporarily (name, email address, message) so that a request is never lost unnoticed. As is standard for any website, our hosting provider keeps technical server logs (such as IP address and time of a visit) for security purposes and to prevent abuse.

We never sell your data to third parties. Data submitted via the contact and viewing-request forms is sent through the email infrastructure of our hosting provider (Hostinger) and reaches only Oost West Makelaars.
The property listings on this website come from RealWorks, the system in which estate agents manage their listings. RealWorks supplies us only with property data (addresses, prices, photos of properties); no personal data about you as a website visitor is shared with RealWorks. We use Google Analytics (Google Ireland Limited) to see how visitors use our website, so that we can improve it. This is done using Google Consent Mode: analytics data is only collected after you choose "accept all" in the cookie banner. See our Cookie Policy for details.
Contact and viewing requests that do not lead to an assignment are retained for a maximum of 2 years after the last contact, after which we delete them. Data that becomes part of an actual assignment (for example a sale, purchase or letting assignment) is retained for as long as the statutory (fiscal) retention obligation of 7 years requires.
The technical log files that record spam and abuse of our forms are retained for a maximum of 12 months.
You have the right to access, rectify or erase your personal data, the right to object to processing, the right to restriction of processing, and the right to data portability. If you have given consent for a particular processing activity, you may withdraw that consent at any time.
